Overview

AharGhor is my own startup concept for a homemade food delivery service in Bangladesh. The idea is to connect people seeking healthy, home-cooked meals with home cooks — especially women who want to earn income from their cooking skills.

Rather than starting from the product, I started from the people: what customers look for in a meal, and what would make it possible for a home cook to participate.

What the survey revealed

The survey explored consumer purchase intentions for homemade-food delivery, including convenience, trust, hygiene, food quality, price, and social media influence. Social media influence was the strongest predictor of purchase intention in the academic regression analysis (beta = 0.410). Food quality (beta = 0.311) and convenience (beta = 0.212) were also significant factors. The academic model explained 79% of the variation in purchase intention (R-squared = 0.790).

How insights shaped the concept

The survey findings helped shape AharGhor's proposed service concept around three priorities: social media engagement, food quality, and convenience. Social media insights informed the use of engaging food visuals, customer feedback, and trust-building content. The importance of food quality shaped AharGhor's positioning around fresh, home-cooked meals. Convenience informed the concept of a simple website where customers could discover homemade food and connect with home cooks. The platform also aims to create income opportunities for home cooks, especially women.

AharGhor is presented as a startup concept and development project, not an established commercial business.
